Leeds is one of the UK's most successful regional cities and Location Leeds is the unique public-private sector partnership responsible for promoting the city at MIPIM .  Over the past five years, Location Leeds and its partners have successfully raised the profile of the city to become one of Europe's top 30 business locations, attracted major new investment along the way and millions of pounds worth of new business to Leeds-based companies.

Most of the city's major property organisations are represented and work closely with senior figures from Leeds City Council to demonstrate the success that Leeds has achieved as one of the UK's leading urban centres.

This year, much of the focus will be on Leeds Civic Architect John Thorp's unique approach to place-making and urban design that is shaping development activity in the city and is designed to ensure Leeds retains a distinctive sense of place. The focus will also be on exciting new developments including:

• West End Leeds: A new urban quarter that will create 3 million sq ft of prime offices with a development value of over £1 billion.
• Tower Works: The redevelopment of Tower Works by ISIS and Yorkshire Forward, setting new standards in sustainable urban design.
• Leeds leading the way in tall buildings, with planning permission granted for West Europe's tallest residential building
• Being named one of Europe's top cities for business by global real estate consultants Cushman and Wakefield
• Best rental growth in the UK for prime retail positions
• Voted one of the UK's most successful regional cities by the Financial Times
